TV Ratings: ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Drops in Return

The first night of Bachelor in Paradise was not as strong as it was last summer. A week after The Bachelorette‘s finale, the third entry in the franchise returned to a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers. That’s off three-tenths of a point from last summer’s opener, but enough to have ABC tie CBS for bragging rights in the key demo for the night.

Big Brother was still the biggest game in town on the repeat-heavy evening. The steady episode pulled a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49. Both Fox and NBC only aired encores.
