American Ninja Warrior took a hit on Monday night, leaving room for a particularly titillating episode of The Bachelorette to top the evening’s not-so-crowded broadcast-ratings race.
The ABC reality show was steady with last week, averaging a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49. Lead-out The Whispers, which stands as the highest-rated scripted summer debut since Under the Dome now that live-plus-7 DVR data is in, stopped its same-day declines. The 10 p.m. drama held steady with the previous week, averaging a 1.0 rating in the key demo.
NBC shared an overall demo victory for the night, though American Ninja Warrior (1.8 adults) dropped three-tenths of a point from last Monday. The Island (1.1 adults) was dead-even with its most recent showing.
Over on Fox, So You Think You Can Dance dropped three-tenths of a point after last week’s lift. The two-hour episode averaged just a 0.9 rating.
