CBS had Thursday night on lock thanks to a rising Big Brother and a Big Bang Theory encore.
The comedy repeat outpaced every other Big Four original effort for the night with an average 1.3 rating among adults 18-49. It was only outperformed by Big Brother, which improved significantly from last week’s Thursday premiere. It topped the night with a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49, an improvement of three-tenths of a point. There was a steep decline, however, in the 10 o’clock hour with a new Zoo averaging a 0.6 rating in the key demo, though the drama was up a hair from its season three premiere.
NBC ranked No. 2 with steady episodes of Hollywood Game Night (0.8 adults), The Wall (0.9 adults) and The Night Shift (0.7 adults).
Boy Band kept it together in its third episode with an average 0.6 rating among adults 18-49, but ABC’s subsequent alternative efforts dropped from the previous week. Battle of the Network Stars was off three-tenths of a point from its premiere, and The Gong Show finally dipped in its third outing — dropping two-tenths of a point to a 0.7 rating in the key demo.
