With many viewers already stepping away from the television for the Fourth of July holiday weekend, usage among adults 18-49 dropped 4 percent from last Wednesday night.

Most original episodes were steady or within a tenth of a point of last week’s showings, though Big Brother dropped a hearty half of a ratings point from last Wednesday’s season opener on CBS. Still winning the night, Big Brother nabbed a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 5.6 million viewers.
So You Think You Can Dance (1.3 adults), steady with last week’s showing, was the other big player for the night — though NBC import Taxi Brooklyn (1.1 adults) did manage to improve a tenth of a point from last week’s series premiere, despite no original lead-in.
