Fox topped Tuesday night in the demo once again. New episodes of Hell’s Kitchen (2.5 rating among adults 18-49) and MasterChef (down a tenth of a point for a 2.7 adults rating) gave the network an average 2.6 rating with 18-49-ers for the night and 6.3 million viewers.
With an advantage among total viewers and a clear win with coverage of the 2012 Democratic National Convention, NBC netted a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 7.5 million viewers for the night. America’s Got Talent was relatively steady with last Tuesday’s performance, down just a tenth of a point and earning a 2.3 adults rating. DNC coverage matched last week’s fast rating for night one of the RNC — a 1.3 adults rating — and topped last week’s finals by two tenths of a point. (All ratings for DNC coverage are subject to time zone adjustments later today.)
Univision had a 1.4 adults rating for the night.
Encores led into CBS’ coverage of the DNC. It’s one-hour broadcast placed behind NBC and ABC in adults 18-49 with a 0.6 rating, a one tenth of a point growth from last week’s fast and final numbers. The network averaged a 0.9 adults rating and 5.8 million viewers for the night.
ABC’s comedy repeats preceded its own convention coverage, also up a tenth of a point from last week’s fast and final number for a 0.7 rating with adults 18-49. The network averaged a 0.7 adults rating and 2.7 million viewers.
Repeats of Hart of Dixie and The Next gave the CW a 0.3 rating with 18-49-ers and 644,000 viewers.
