It was a season of records for Game of Thrones. On top of the fact that its average gross viewership (18.6 million viewers across platforms and views) now outranks The Sopranos as HBO’s biggest original ever, the series hit records on four occasions.
The third-season finale of Game of Thrones, which aired almost one year ago to the day, set a then series record of 5.4 million viewers. Every episode of the show’s latest run has outperformed that mark.
