Tuesday night served Fox well, bringing a 16 percent jump for its heavily promoted Michael Jackson episode of Glee. According to fast affiliate ratings, the episode scored a 3.6 among adults 18-49 (it’s highest since Oct. 4) and matched a season high in total viewers (9 million). New Girl also rose a tenth of a point for a 3.5 in the demo, though Raising Hope was down from its last original two weeks ago for a 2.1 among adults 18-49. The net averaged a 3.2 in 18-49-ers for the night, with 7.5 million viewers.
CBS aired a block of repeats — NCIS, NCIS:LA, Unforgettable — but still managed a second place finish with a 1.7 in adults 18-49 and the night’s strongest showing in viewers, 10.6 million.
Tied for third were NBC and ABC. Both networks nabbed a 1.6 in adults 18-49, with the alphabet topping in total viewers (5.5 million vs 4.8 million). ABC aired repeats of Last Man Standing, followed by a down Wife Swap (1.9 in the demo) and a repeat of Body of Proof. On NBC, The Biggest Loser, flat with last week’s 2.1, led into a repeat of Parenthood.
On the CW, Ringer returned from its eight-week hiatus only to match its season low among adults 18-49. The freshman drama brought in a 0.6 in adults 18-49, losing some of its 90210 lead-in. 90210 was even with the previous week’s 0.7, giving the net an average 0.6 for the night and 1.4 million viewers.
More to come.
