This Is Us topped another Tuesday, improving upon its most recent live-plus-same day showing in the process.
The freshman drama, the new season’s lone broadcast hit in the key demo, bested the rest of the night’s offerings with an average 2.6 rating among adults 18-49. That marks a three-tenths of a point improvement from the NBC series’ last episode.
NBC had even episodes of The Voice (2.1 adults) and Chicago Fire (1.5 adults) on either side of This Is Us, securing an easy win for the night in the key demo.
With NCIS (1.7 adults), Bull (1.5 adults) and NCIS: New Orleans (1.2 adults) all holding with their most recent original efforts, CBS came in No. 2 and easily topped the rest of the broadcast networks among total viewers.
ABC’s entire comedy lineup was improved from last week. The Middle and American Housewife led with a shared 1.6 rating among adults 18-49, while Fresh off the Boat was up to a 1.3 rating in the key demo and The Real O’Neals improved to a 1.1 rating. Special David Blaine: Beyond Magic managed to win the 10 p.m. hour with a 1.6 rating.
On Fox, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and New Girl were with their respective 0.9 ratings among adults 18-49, and Scream Queens held at a 0.6 rating. On the CW, The Flash was at its best since the season premiere, with a 1.2 rating in the key demo, while No Tomorrow held its 0.3 rating.
