There wasn’t much in the way of improvement Tuesday night. Keeping with Monday’s trend, whatever broadcast series that didn’t hold steady were down.
Even with modest same-day dips across the board, NBC didn’t lose hold of its nightly win. Thanks, in most part, to This Is Us, the network topped the night among adults 18-49. The season’s winning drama topped all others with a 2.5 rating in the key demo, shaving about 10 percent off last week’s showing, but still outpacing all competition by nearly a full ratings point. The Wall (1.4 adults) and Chicago Fire (1.5 adults), also off a tick, aired on either side of This Is Us.
NCIS, so easily the night’s top draw with 15.4 million viewers, was down two-tenths of a point to a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49 — an easy No. 2 in the key demo for the night. Bull (1.3 adults) held even, while NCIS: New Orleans (1.0 adults) was steady.
On ABC, The Middle dipped ahead of a flat American Housewife, each pulling a 1.5 rating in the key demo. Fresh Off the Boat (1.2 adults) was even before steady episodes of The Real O’Neals (0.9 adults) and Agents of SHIELD (0.7 adults).
Fox had new episodes of New Girl and The Mick, each of which pulled a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49. And the final season of Bones continued with a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49, down two-tenths of a point.
The Flash held a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49. And, also on the CW, Legends of Tomorrow pulled another 0.7 rating.
