The bulk of the Friday lineup launched last night, with fast affiliate ratings giving a shared demo victory to ABC and CBS.
CSI: New York started the night for CBS, down 28 percent from last year’s debut with a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49. The premiere of Made in Jersey was relatively soft — down 39 percent from last year’s time slot debut — and ranked as network’s lowest for the night in the key demo (1.1 adults rating). Blue Bloods‘ 10 p.m. broadcast saw the network’s high of the night, a 1.5 adults rating. CBS averaged a 1.3 adults rating and 9.3 million viewers.
Shark Tank was relatively steady on ABC despite the increased competition, down just six percent to a 1.5 rating with 18-49-ers. An encore of Last Resort pulled a 1.1 rating with adults, and 20/20 was even with last week’s 1.4 in the demo. ABC averaged a 1.3 adults rating and 4.7 million.
NBC had an average 1.2 rating adults 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers over the night, thanks to a strong 9 p.m. outing of Grimm. The time period premiere was up a tenth of a point from its last Monday episode for a 1.6 adults rating. Dateline was down 35 percent to a 1.3 adults rating.
Fox had a 1.1 adults rating and 3.2 million viewers with an encore of X Factor and the return of Fringe. The series’ final run kicked off down four tenths of a point from its last premiere, though the 1.1 adults rating was up 10 percent from the recent finale.
A new episode of America’s Next Top Model pulled a 0.5 rating with adults 18-49 and 1.2 million viewers.
