Tuesday is simultaneously the biggest and most quiet night of broadcast’s summer. NBC’s America’s Got Talent is far and away the biggest thing airing, short of HBO’s Game of Thrones, but the rest of the schedule is thinner than any other marquee night of the week.
Bachelor in Paradise has at least livened things up a bit. ABC was the only other network to air originals on Tuesday with a steady episode of its dating show spinoff. It took a steady 1.1 rating in the key demo and 3.9 million viewers before a slightly lifted outing of drama Somewhere Between (0.4 adults).
It doesn’t hold a candle to NBC, which had another dominant outing of Talent — a 2.6 demo rating and 12.6 million viewers — and a new Hollywood Game Night (1.1 adults).
