Previously sidelined by the spring infusion of reality programming on Mondays, CBS’ scripted block nabbed a victory among adults 18-49 for the first time since NBC’s The Voice moved to the competitive night in February. According to fast affiliate ratings, the network scored a 3.1 rating in the demo overall and 10 million viewers.
Returning from encores, both How I Met Your Mother and 2 Broke Girls moved up one tenth of a point with 18-49-ers, posting a 3.2 and 3.5 rating, respectively. Two and a Half Men was down a tenth of a point, though it was still the night’s strongest broadcast in the demo with a 3.7 rating. Mike & Molly moved up one tenth for a 3.2 in the demo, while Hawaii Five-0 was down a tenth to a 2.5.
The Voice hit a new low for performance shows, a 3.5 rating with adults 18-49, though it still managed to top all other networks’ demo average between 8 and 10 p.m. Smash was also down 10 percent to a 1.8 rating in the demo, giving NBC an average 2.9 rating with adults and 8.1 million viewers for the night.
On ABC, Dancing With the Stars took a heavy hit, 16 percent, falling to a new series low of a 2.7 rating among adults 18-49 for performance shows. Castle, on the other hand, grew 14 percent for a 2.4 rating in the demo. Though averaging a third-place 2.6 rating among adults 18-49, Dancing still drove ABC to an easy victory among total viewers: 14.4 million for the night.
Bones took a hit on Fox, dropping three tenths of a point for a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49. House was also down, though only by two tenths, for a 2.1 rating in the demo. Fox averaged a 2.0 rating and 6.8 million viewers.
Gossip Girl and Hart of Dixie both nabbed a 0.6 rating for the CW among adults 18-49.
