Karen Neal/ABCIf two nights a week weren’t enough, The X Factor took over a third, airing a two-hour episode on Tuesday that gave Fox another ratings victory.
Airing from 8-10 p.m., X Factor (10.1 million total viewers, 3.8 rating in adults 18-49 demographic) was up 12 percent from Sunday’s telecast and up 3 percent from last Thursday’s airing. For the night, X Factor tied CBS’ NCIS in 18-49 as the highest-rated programs of the night, though the procedural actually topped the reality competition series in the 8 p.m. hour (3.8 vs. 3.5).

ABC rolled out its latest comedy offering, Man Up! (7.8 million, 2.4), and the half-hour posted modest numbers following Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing (10.2 million, 3.0), which dropped 17 percent from its series premiere. Man Up! retained 80 percent of the audience in 18-49 and 83 percent among 18-34. The latest elimination show of Dancing With the Stars (13.5 million, 2.6) plunged 21 percent, however, and is the series’ lowest-rated telecast to date. Body of Proof (9.5 million, 1.9) grew 6 percent in the demo compared to the previous week.

CBS came a close second after Fox, averaging a 3.2 rating in the demo but was the day’s most-watched network with 15.4 million in primetime. NCIS (19 million, 3.8) was the most-watched primetime telecast on broadcast, though it dipped 5 percent. NCIS: LA (15.3 million, 3.3) remained steady while Unforgettable (11.9 million, 2.5) rose 9 percent and won its 10 p.m. time period.

NBC’s The Biggest Loser (5.2 million, 1.9) continues to see a dip this season, hitting its lowest-rated fall telecast to date. Parenthood (5 million, 2.0), featuring a cameo by Cee Lo Green, dropped 5 percent after rebounding last week.
Good news for Sarah Michelle Gellar‘s Ringer, which was recently given a full-season order: The drama improved week-over-week, up 14 percent in 18-49 (0.8) and the younger 18-34 demo (0.8). Overall, Ringer’s audience grew 5 percent in total viewers to 1.8 million. 90210 (1.4 million, 0.7) was steady.
