Brian Neal is setting up shop at ITV Studios America. The unscripted producer and director has signed a first-look deal with the studio to develop and produce projects under his Thought Pirates banner.
The Los Angeles-based Neal has had his toes in television, commercial and digital, setting up projects at National Geographic, Discovery, MTV, TLC and Animal Planet — where he notably worked on Alaska Gold Diggers.
“Brian brings an enthusiasm for storytelling that is contagious,” said ITV Studios America exec vp creative strategy Bruce Robertson. “His track record and scope of work is a testament to his vision for compelling programming across all platforms. We‘re excited to have him add to ITV Studios America’s ever-expanding slate.”
ITV has been beefing up the ranks, most recently signing Mark Efman‘s Big Energy Productions to an overall deal earlier in January.
“We’re thrilled to partner with ITV Studios America because their development team shares in the same pursuit for honest storytelling that we strive for at Thought Pirates,” said Neal.
Neal is repped by ICM.
