The USA Network has officially renewed Fairly Legal, starring Sarah Shahi, for a second season.
As THR reported in late April, the hourlong dramedy will return for another round, with the cable net ordering 13 episodes. All signs pointed to the show receiving a pickup after USA released its talent list for its upfront last month, which is taking place in New York City on Monday.
Production begins this summer and is slated to premiere some time during the first quarter of 2012.
The series, which centers on mediator Kate Reed (Shahi), was a solid performer for USA during its rookie effort, though it wasn’t a breakout ratings success.
The renewal was made official on Monday by USA co-presidents Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel.
