A preview of the upcoming Simpsons–Family Guy crossover has debuted.
In the nearly five-minute clip from “The Simpsons Guy,” the Griffins find themselves in Springfield, bonding with the Simpsons over prank phone calls, skateboarding and doughnuts. Where do they clash? Over beer — Homer (Dan Castellaneta) insults Peter’s (Seth MacFarlane) beloved Pawtucket, calling it “a lousy rip-off of Duff.”

The episode also features The Simpsons‘ Bart (Nancy Cartwright), Marge (Julie Kavner) and Lisa (Yeardley Smith), as well as Hank Azaria’s voice work. The preview also includes a cameo by Bob of Bob’s Burgers.
Fox first screened the footage at its Comic-Con panel on Saturday, which featured appearances by voice stars Seth Green and Mike Henry, as well as executive producers Rich Appel, Steve Callaghan, Danny Smith and co-executive producer Peter Shin. Other episodes teased include a Christmas airing that sees Jesus in Quahog to potentially lose his virginity — which triggered Henry to say, in the voice of Cleveland, “We going to hell” — plus guest appearances by Liam Neeson, Julie Bowen, Jeff Garlin, Allison Janney, Lea Thompson and Joe Buck. A possible Star Trek spoof — this season or otherwise — and a Family Guy movie were categorized as “someday” ideas.
At this year’s Con, Marge was also the star of a 10-piece MAC makeup collection that went on sale for one day only, and a Homer Simpson hologram made an appearance for the first time.

The network noted last summer that in the cartoon crossover, the Family Guy characters will quickly bond with their Simpsons counterparts: Besides Peter and Homer, plus Stewie and Bart, Lisa will take Meg (Mila Kunis) under her wing to find something the young Griffin is good at, and Lois (Alex Borstein) and Marge will ditch housework together.
MacFarlane guest-starred on The Simpsons season finale in May, when he voiced Ben, a charming married man who met Marge.
“The Simpsons Guy” airs Sept. 28 on Fox. Watch the video below:
