ABC is making a big push during Sunday’s Academy Awards telecast for spring drama Resurrection.
The one-hour series centers on the residents of Arcadia, Mo., whose lives are forever changed when their loved ones return from the dead. The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts an early look at one of several ads ABC will debut during the main show.

In the 45-second Resurrection spot, a better explanation of the plot is parsed out, introducing audiences to three characters who died years earlier and come back to life. There’s Rachael, who died 12 years ago; there’s Caleb, who died 13 years ago; and then there’s Jacob, who died 32 years ago.
Set to the moody ballad “Coming Home” by Skylar Grey, the resurrected return asking one big question: “Did I really die?” And when their families start accepting that their loved ones have returned, some are happy, while others are understandably unsure. “What if he’s not the same?” a father asks when his young son comes back without having aged a day.
Omar Epps, Frances Fisher, Matt Craven, Devin Kelley, Mark Hildreth, Samaire Armstrong, Sam Hazeldine, Landon Gimenez and Kurtwood Smith star in the series from executive producers Aaron Zelman (Damages, The Killing), Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters.
Will you tune in?
Resurrection debuts March 9 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
