Guess Ichabod Crane isn’t in that pine box for long.
Sleepy Hollow treated fans Friday evening at Comic-Con with two scenes from the new season, and The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts one of those clips, where Ichabod (Tom Mison) and partner-in-crime Abbie (Nicole Beharie) head to a bank in support of a case.

As a man from a different time, Ichabod isn’t shy about commentating about modern-day society — and viewers already know his thoughts about taxation (nay) and billionaires (also nay). “Thomas Jefferson once said banking establishments are even more dangerous than standing armies,” Ichabod tells Abbie when they first step foot in the bank.
After eyeing a pen attached to one of the countertops, Ichabod voices his disdain to a banker who immediately tries to rope him in with a deal on a credit card. “These people entrust you with their fortune, yet you cannot entrust them with a simple inkwell?” asks Ichabod. When you put it that way, it is a bit ridiculous.
When the banker pulls the engagement ring card with Ichabod (he must think Ichabod and Abbie are together; go Ichabbie!), Ichabod gives him a piece of his mind. (Poor banker.) But what are they doing at the bank in the first place? Watch the rest of the scene to find out.
Sleepy Hollow premieres Sept. 22 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
