Bravo’s dark con artists comedy Imposters has found a British home thanks to U.K. cable giant Virgin Media as it continues to build out its offer of “Virgin TV exclusives.”
The cable firm, part of John Malone’s Liberty Global, has launched the four first episodes of the series, which consists of 10 one-hour episodes, on demand, followed by a new episode every week.
The show centers on Maddie (Inbar Lavi), who makes her wealthy marks fall in love with her and marry her before she disappears with everything they’ve got. Three of her past spouses (Rob Heaps, Parker Young and Marianne Rendon) end up banding together to try to channel their inner con artist and track her down. The series also features Uma Thurman in a guest role.

“As the first U.S. studio Virgin TV exclusive, Imposters takes Virgin Media’s programming in a brand new direction,” Virgin said. Said David Bouchier, chief entertainment officer at Virgin Media: “With a gripping storyline that will seduce you with lust and laughter and then leave you yelling at the screen, we think our … customers are going to love Imposters.”
He added: “We’re building a strong and diverse collection of exclusives, breaking shows into the U.K. for the first time, so that our customers can discover and enjoy the best TV whenever and however they want to. Keep your eyes peeled because there is a lot more to come.”
Imposters is Virgin Media’s sixth exclusive U.K. show launch over a period of 18 months. Other exclusives have included Ash vs Evil Dead, Kingdom and Magic City. They are available to Virgin Media’s “Full House TV” package subscribers, previously known as XL TV.
The series is produced by Universal Cable Productions with Adam Brooks (Definitely, Maybe) and Paul Adelstein (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce) serving as executive producers.
