Warner Bros.Television’s cable-focused arm Warner Horizon Television has set a new scripted lineup.
The studio on Tuesday announced that it has promoted Leigh London Redman to senior vp scripted as part of its new scripted development and programming team. Additionally, WBTV current programming exec Stephanie Groves has joined Warner Horizon as vp scripted programming. In Groves’ new role, she will work alongside scripted programming vps Lisa Ridenhour and Lisa Roos.
In her new role, London Redman will spearhead day-to-day scripted creative affairs for WHTV, reporting to the studio’s co-presidents of scripted TV Susan Rovner and Brett Paul. She will develop ideas for new TV series and supervise current programming efforts for WHTV’s established series.

“Leigh has done a terrific job for Warner Horizon Television during her five years at the company,” Rovner and Paul said in a joint statement. “She has everything you want in a top creative executive: sharp instincts, excellent relationships with writers and producers, and the ability to provide those artists with the positive environment they need to do their best work. We are delighted to be able to reward her efforts with this well-deserved and well-earned promotion.”
London Redman succeeds Shelley Zimmerman, who served in the position since 2006.
For her part, Groves will now focus on program development and work closely with London Redman and Roos to originate new series. The exec has been with the company since 2009 and recently re-upped to continue managing current programming for WHTV’s established series. Roos moved from WBTV’s drama department to WHTV in 2014. As vp scripted programming, she also focuses on program development, working with London Redman and now Groves.
“We are so pleased to have Stephanie join the Warner Horizon Television team. She has managed some of Warner Bros. Television’s most successful recent drama series, and now she has the opportunity to apply that skill set to helping to develop new original programming for the company,” Rovner and Paul said. “With Lisa Roos also focused on development and Lisa Ridenhour continuing to spearhead current programming, we have a first-rate team in place at WHTV that is well-positioned to continue the company’s growth and success.”
Rounding out the creative ranks at WHTV are Brittney Haas and Kyle Schmitz, with the former serving as a manager of scripted with a focus on drama and the latter in the same role with an emphasis on comedy.
