TORONTO – Alphas’ Warren Christie has joined the second season cast for the Canadian cop drama Motive, which airs on CTV in Canada and ABC stateside.
Christie joins the homicide department as team commander, and reveals a mysterious link to the past for detective Angie Flynn, played by Kristin Lehman (The Killing).
Besides Lehman, also returning for a second season of 13 episodes is Louis Ferreira, Lauren Holly, Brendan Penny, Roger Cross and Cameron Bright.
Valerie Tian (Arrow, 21 Jump Street) is also joining the Canadian series from Foundation Features and Lark Productions as a new rookie officer.
Motive wrapped its first season on CTV with an average audience of 1.1 million viewers. The August 30 season finale of Motive on ABC drew 6.3 million viewers.
The second season of Motive will shoot in Vancouver through January 2014, ahead of a mid-season debut on CTV.
