Rappers including DJ Khaled, 50 Cent and Eve read cutting tweets they’ve received on “Mean Tweets: Hip Hop Edition,” the latest version of Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘s recurring franchise on Thursday.
Lil Wayne, Logic, Ty Dolla $ign, A$AP Rocky, Pusha-T, Big Sean, Remy Ma, Rae Sremmurd, Anderson Paak, Trippie Redd, Tyler the Creator, Awkwafina, Lil Yachty, Wale and T-Pain also made appearances in the installment.
“Lil Wayne is what happens when you pour four loko on a gremlin,” Lil Wayne read at one moment in the sequence.
“Logic is the worst rapper of all time, Paula Dean can rap better,” Logic followed. “Yeah, that’s messed up,” he joked.
“Ty Dolla $ign looks like the crab from Moana,” the rapper read with a sigh.
The hip-hop edition of the recurring franchise coincided with Kanye West and Awkwafina’s visit to Live! on Thursday. Awkwafina, a rapper and actress, is promoting her latest film, Crazy Rich Asians. West was announced as a guest on Tuesday in a surprise tweet: His latest album, ye, was released in early June.
