NBC is offering the first look at its upcoming biblical miniseries A.D.
The follow-up to the History Channel’s 2013 10-parter The Bible, A.D. focuses on what happened after Jesus was crucified.

A key scene in the trailer shows the Romans’ stunned reaction when they realize that Jesus is no longer in the tomb.
The cast includes Juan Pablo di Pace (Jesus), Aniss Elkohen (Philip), Richard Coyle (Caiaphas), Babou Ceesay (John) and Chipo Chung (Mary Magdalene).

A.D., from executive producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, premieres on Easter (April 5) 2015 on NBC.
