Cord Hosenbeck and Tish Cattigan, having recently returned from covering the Royal Wedding abroad, are set to welcome the New Year with a bang.
The duo of parody personalities (played by Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon) will return to host Funny or Die’s 2019 Rose Parade coverage on Jan. 1, 2019. The SNL alums debuted the Cord (a “health and wellness expert”) and Tish (a “relationship expert and former Miss Arizona”) characters at the parade last year, commenting on the festivities for Amazon Prime Video, and returned to cover the Royal Wedding for HBO. This time around their parade commentary did not find a distributor and will instead be simulcast on Funny or Die’s website and Twitch.
“We’re excited to continue our partnership with Funny or Die and welcome Cord and Tish back to the broadcast booth. This collaboration enhances the entertainment value and strengthens the success of the iconic and beloved Rose Parade,” said Tournament of Roses CEO David Eads while announcing the news.
The 2019 Rose Parade Hosted by Cord & Tish will air on Funny or Die (as well as their social platforms) and Twitch Jan. 1 starting at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET. Tim Meadows (as himself) will also return to cover the event.
After the initial airing, it will be available for viewing on demand.
