Will Forte revealed on Conan that he and fiancée Olivia Modling have a newborn daughter.
“I just had a baby,” he told host Conan O’Brien during the Monday night show. “Well, my fiancée Olivia just had a baby,” he clarified. “You did very little there, she did the work,” joked O’Brien.
Forte shared that his daughter, named Zoe Douglas Forte, was born on Feb. 15 and delivered by a doctor named Dr. Rad. This prompted much laughter and jokes about the doctor being “radical.”
The Booksmart and Last Man on Earth actor went on to say that he and Modling have received an abundance of baby gifts since their new family member arrived, such as food. “But by far the best gift that I got — you know, I’m a 50 year old father, which is pretty old for fathers — Olivia had this made for me.” He held up a hoodie emblazoned with the words, “Dad or Grandpa?”
Conan responded with, “You’re right on the line, it could go either way.”
Forte explained that he’s “a weird dude” and has “a lot of weird things” about him, like being “a pack rat.” Having his daughter, the actor explained, has “reignited” that feeling, because he feels like he has to save everything for sentimental reasons.
O’Brien understood: because everything is a first for his daughter.
In the hospital, Forte explained that he wanted to save Zoe’s first soiled diaper. “My fiancé’s like, ‘you’re super gross, there’s no way we’re saving the diaper,'” he recalled. Then, the couple decided to save it to give as a practical joke to a friend. But in the end, Forte did save the diaper in a specimen bag, which he showed a disgusted O’Brien.
“What if she becomes the first president of Mars? This is for that museum,” declared Forte.
