Even after 11 years off the air, Will & Grace continues to land impressive guest stars.
Jane Lynch and Andrew Rannells are both set to guest-star on the forthcoming NBC revival, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Details on their characters are being kept under tight wraps, except that they will appear on the same episode, which begins production this week.
Lynch and Rannells join previously announced guest stars including Tony winner Ben Platt, as well as returning faces Harry Connick Jr., Minnie Driver and Bobby Cannavale.
During Will & Grace‘s original eight-season run, the Emmy-winning multicamera sitcom amassed some of the most impressive guest stars in recent memory with appearances from A-listers like Madonna, Cher, Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, among many others.
All four series stars — Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes — are returning for the revival, which kicks off its 16-episode first season on Sept. 28. The comedy has already been renewed for a second season at NBC.
Lynch, who hosts NBC’s Hollywood Game Night, is fresh off her fourth Emmy win and can currently be seen playing Janet Reno on Discovery’s limited series Manhunt: Unabomber. Rannells, who previously starred on NBC’s The New Normal, most recently co-starred on the sixth and final season of HBO critical darling Girls.
