The fun never ends for Marc Jacobs and his fall 2015 campaign.
First there was Cher, then Willow Smith, followed by Red Hot Chili Peppers’ frontman Anthony Kiedis and his son, Everly Bear, and most recently, Debi Mazar. Now, Jacobs has invited longtime pal Winona Ryder and musician Steve Mackey and his son, Marley, to the party.
“Winona and I have been friends for over 15 years. She first appeared in our campaign in 2003,” wrote Jacobs in an Instagram revealing Ryder as another black-clad sheep in his fall campaign flock. Like the other images in the series, the photo of the actress with mussed-up bed head and another of her climbing a ladder to nowhere were shot by David Sims.
Following Ryder’s big reveal was the shot of Mackey and his son, who also posed for Sims against the now-signature crimson backdrop. Looking like ‘20s gangsters slouched together in their thick, tailored suits and brogues, the Mackeys are the epitome of cool. Jacobs captioned the Instagram, “The music for our fashion shows is always incredible…. No one does it better than Steve Mackey—He is a great musician and producer.”
No telling who might show up next in Jacobs seemingly endless campaign …perhaps Beyonce? An Obama? Or if we’re sticking to the ‘90s throwback theme, might we suggest Macaulay Culkin? Fingers crossed.
