In a competitive situation, WME has landed up-and-coming 20-year-old actor Justice Smith, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
Smith plays one of the four young leads of Netflix’s The Get Down, the upcoming period hip hop drama from Baz Luhrmann. The series, which is currently filming, sees Smith as Ezekiel, described as a “smart, resourceful teen brimming with untapped talent and unrequited love who is determined to make his mark in this world.”
Audiences got a preview of the Anaheim native earlier this year in Fox 2000’s adaptation of John Green’s YA novel Paper Towns, where he played one of the best friends of Nat Wolff’s character.
Smith continues to be represented by David Kohl at The Kohl Group and attorney Steven Younger at Myman Greenspan.
