In a blog post Sunday, the pop singer wrote that she has had “the weirdest past few weeks.”
“I wouldn’t even know how to begin to tell you all about it,” she wrote. “What I do know for certain is that I have the BEST, most unbelievable people out there, who I feel so lucky to call my support system. You never fail to amaze me. I have been reading your letters and opening my prezzies (I feel very spoilt) and hearing all of your kind, special and inspiring things you want to say to me.”
Cold also told her fans that she is “absolutely fine and more than OK” and urged them not to “worry” about her. She also wrote that she’s been taking it easy since her exit from Fox’s show.
“I have had the time that I have not had in so long to just chill with my loved ones and do the normal things that I like to do,” she wrote. “See my friends and family and be with my doggys :D. It feels long overdue and sooooo good, even my feet are happy to not have to wear a pair of high heels hehe.”
She added that she will address her fans once again when she has “new news.”
Cole was replaced on X Factor by Nicole Scherzinger, who had previously been set as co-host alongside Steve Jones. The other judges are Cowell, Paula Abdul and Antonio “L.A.” Reid. The series debuts on Fox in September.
The Girls Aloud singer also lost out on her chance to rejoin the British version of X Factor — which airs on ITV1 — after refusing to take calls from ITV execs.
But Cole could be wooed for the British version of The Voice, which BBC won after a high-stakes battle with ITV last week.
However, a rep for Cole denies that “any discussions with [the show’s production company] Talpa have taken place.”
