The X-Files has recruited another familiar face for Fox’s upcoming revival.
Annabeth Gish (Pretty Little Liars) will reprise her role of FBI agent Monica Reyes in an episode of the six-part event series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
She appeared in 23 episodes of the original run’s final two seasons as an agent who worked with Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Doggett (Robert Patrick). She was seen last in The X-Files‘ series finale after she and Doggett helped Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully go on the run. She first recurred in season eight before being promoted to series regular in the ninth and final season.
Gish joins returning stars Anderson, Duchovny, Mitch Pileggi and William B. Davis. The revival also has tapped new guest-stars Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Joel McHale, Annet Mahendru, Rhys Darby and Kumail Nanjiani.
Gish’s other credits include Sons of Anarchy, The Bridge and The West Wing. She is repped by Innovative Artists and Thruline.
The X-Files returns Jan. 24, 2016, on Fox.
