The Office alum Andy Buckley has been tapped to guest star on the sophomore season of the Stephen Falk critical darling, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Buckley will play Russell Fleischer, Jimmy’s (Chris Geere) agent, who has grown weary of his client’s posturing and delicately informs him that a writer with his questionable reputation can’t expect the A-list side-gigs he thinks he deserves.
The actor will appear in one episode — titled “Crevasses” — for the time being. A return date for You’re the Worst has not yet been announced.

Buckley, repped by Pakula/King & Associates and Coronel Group, next appears in Bravo’s scripted series Odd Mom Out, bowing June 8,and the feature Jurassic World, due June 12.
Season two of You’re the Worst will move from FX to younger-skewing FXX for its 13-episdoe second season. Showrunner Falk previously told THR that season two will pick up a couple weeks after Gretchen (Aya Cash) moves in with Jimmy after accidentally burning her house down.
“They’re probably not ready to move in [together] — just as they weren’t ready for a relationship — but they are,” Falk says. “So we’re accelerating it even more so we’ll see if it’s a mistake or not. But we’re just dealing with what it looks like when Gretchen can’t necessarily leave.”
Gretchen’s full-time addition to the house will also create a new source of stress for Edgar (Desmin Borges), a former soldier already dealing with PTSD, while Lindsay (Kether Donohue) will continue to devolve. “Suddenly, he’s the third wheel as opposed to the second,” Falk says. “And Lindsay is reeling in the aftermath of her husband leaving her for a girl he met on a website. So we’re going to see Lindsay, the hot mess she already was, spiral even further, which is a lot of fun.”
