The Outfit: A silk-cotton crewneck sweater in a mirrored flamingo pattern and green pants with an exaggerated wide leg, inverted pleat details and rolled cuffs from Delpozo’s spring 2015 collection.
The Wearer: Vogue cover star Zendaya, who is styled by Law Roach.
The Event: At the Spider-Man: Homecoming photocall in Barcelona, Spain, on Sunday, where she was joined by co-star Tom Holland and director Jon Watts.
Why It Matters: Zendaya’s latest look proves that the red-and-green color combo isn’t just for Christmas time — it’s wearable year-round. Far from what you’d call an ugly sweater, this Delpozo top has the playful touch of an artsy flamingo design and sheer neckline. The bright green pants, in an of-the-moment pleated silhouette, added extra punch. Unlike the Delpozo runway model who wore the ensemble with green sandals, the 20-year-old star chose all-white pointy pumps.
Spanish fashion house Delpozo has been getting a lot of love on the red carpet lately; Kerry Washington, Naomie Harris and Ruth Negga are just a few of the A-listers who have worn architect turned fashion designer Josep Font’s whimsical works of art. Font joined the luxury label in 2012, replacing founder Jesús del Pozo, who passed away in 2011.
Where to Buy: The sweater and pants, $1,150 and $1,750, are sold out on Moda Operandi, but the brand’s latest pieces can be found there as well as Net-a-Porter, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Matches Fashion.
